How it plays out on a deal
Senior deal people often check a room between meetings. A native app can make reading on a phone easier and support offline access to selected files. It also adds another place where security settings must hold.
A well built mobile website can be enough for most users. If a vendor offers an app, check that watermarks, download limits and screenshot measures apply there too, and that administrators can disable mobile access for sensitive groups.
What to check in a review or demo
- 1Whether security settings such as watermarks and view-only apply in the app.
- 2Whether mobile access can be switched off for certain groups.
- 3Whether the mobile browser version is usable if the app is not installed.
