How it plays out on a deal
Large deals generate hundreds or thousands of questions. Handled by email and spreadsheet, they get lost, answered twice or answered inconsistently across bidders. A Q&A module keeps every question in one place with a status, an owner and an audit history.
The useful parts are approval steps before an answer goes out, routing by topic to the right expert, a choice to publish an answer to one bidder or to all, and reporting on what is still open. Some tools also suggest earlier answers to similar questions.
What to check in a review or demo
- 1Whether answers can pass an approval step before the bidder sees them.
- 2Whether one answer can be published to all bidders without revealing who asked.
- 3Whether the open questions report can be filtered by bidder, topic and age.
