How it plays out on a deal
Storage pricing replaced pages for many vendors because it is simpler to measure. It still carries the same core risk: the final size of a room is hard to predict, and video files, CAD drawings or large email exports can push a room into a higher tier.
Ask whether duplicates and earlier versions count toward the allowance, and whether the room can show current usage at any time. A clear meter helps a deal team avoid surprises on the next invoice.
What to check in a review or demo
- 1The included allowance and the price per extra gigabyte or tier.
- 2Whether earlier versions and duplicate files count toward storage.
- 3Whether current usage is visible to the administrator.
