Per-user pricing

The short version

A price charged for each user account, or each administrator seat, per month. Outside guests may be counted separately or included without charge, depending on the vendor.

How it plays out on a deal

Per-user pricing is common among general file sharing tools that also sell data room features. It suits small, stable teams and gets expensive when a deal brings in many advisers on both sides.

The detail that decides the bill is who counts as a user. If only internal administrators are paid seats and outside readers are unlimited, the model can be cheap. If every bidder adviser needs a seat, a large auction can cost more than a dedicated transaction room.

What to check in a review or demo

  1. 1Whether outside readers need paid seats or only internal administrators do.
  2. 2Whether there is a minimum number of seats per plan.
  3. 3Whether seats can be added and removed month to month during the deal.

Per-user price: which reviewed providers use it

Based on the entry price each provider publishes, or the absence of one. Prices are in USD, indicative and checked monthly; confirm with the provider.
