How it plays out on a deal
Sorting a few thousand files into a sensible structure is slow manual work, so vendors increasingly offer AI help with it, along with summaries, clause finding and suggested answers in Q&A. The value depends heavily on accuracy and on how much checking the output still needs.
For a buyer the bigger questions are about data handling. Where does the model run, is deal content used to train it, can the feature be switched off for a room, and is the processing covered by the same security attestations as the rest of the platform? A clear written answer matters more than a demo.
What to check in a review or demo
- 1Whether customer documents are excluded from model training, in writing.
- 2Whether AI features can be turned off per room for clients who forbid them.
- 3How the room shows that a classification or summary was produced by AI and not a person.
